    Get it at:
    http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/download.jsp
Choose the J2SE Runtime Environment (JRE) and not the J2SE Development Kit (JDK)!

Sun released version 1.5 update 4 of it popular Java plugin recently. It adds supports for 64 bit processors but only for Windows Server 2003 x64. Windows XP Professional x64 Edition does not seem to be supported yet. This new version also fixes a bunch of bugs.

To see the entire list of improvments go to:
    http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/ReleaseNotes.html

As always it is best to uninstall the old version of Java using the Add/Remove control panel applet before installing this new version.

    Thanks,

    Yes!!

    See http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/ReleaseNotes.html - Earlier Versions

I don't trust the Java Update - when I saw this post I went to the Java consol, clicked on update to be told I had the latest release - not so!! I was running the .02 release.
