I keep getting this message; Your hashcash value failed. Please ensure you have JavaScript enabled in your browser.
    How to fix it?

Java and Java Script are 2 different animals. What browser are you using?

It doesn't seem to matter. I get it with Firefox, Chrome and IE

Already did that, also ran all spyware, malware, and virus, as well as CC cleaner, registry cleaner and PC maintenance programs. Nothing changed.

My understanding of hashcash is that it is a captcha alternative for defeating spam and bots, in relation to email, posting comments, submitting forms, etc.

    http://www.hashcash.org/faq/

I've seen posts saying that if someone browses to a site with javascript already turned on, hashcash allows them to post. If javascript is turned off, generating the error, and then the user turns javascript on in order to post, they're still treated as if javascript is turned off in their browser.

If that matches your situation, try a hard refresh by holding down Ctrl and pressing F5.

It's possible that something like no-script, ghostery, or adblock is preventing a script from running and thereby making it appear that javascript is not enabled.

What are you trying to do when you get the error? Does it occur only on certain sites?

Filling in online form to send Letter To The Editor of local newspaper. It seems that is the only time I have seen that message.

After posting my reply, I tried to submit the post again and it went through. No hashcash message and of course no reason why I was getting it in the past. Typical "who done it "
