Items on desktop

    I just installed WXP Home, and the only item on the desktop is the Recycle Bin. How can I put the typical items one usually see on the desktop, like "My Network Places ", "My Computer ", etc?

    Right click on an empty space on the desktop, left click Properties.

    Go to the Desktop tab and click on the Customize Desktop button.

    Check all of the items you want on the desktop, click OK and OK again.

    For other icons, find a shortcut on the Start Menu you want on the desktop, right click it, point at 'Send To," left click on Desktop.
