In Internet explorer View drop down menu, Toolbars>, I have an item "stchchbjxcr ", all lower case. I would like to delete it from the menu and my program, but it doesn't show up in the add/remove. Does anyone have any ideas.

A search on Google for 'stchchbjxcr' brings up no hits so it is not a 'known' problem.

Some possibilities - in no particular order

Corrupted file in IE - try a Repair (you did not post your versions of IE or OS , there are differences in Repair depending on these).

Spyware or Malware - download and run, in this order, Spybot and AdAware - update their reference files before running.

For good measure also run Cwshredder - download is at the end of the page.

None of these will do any harm, but might surprise you with with the amount of spyware found!

Once more, I want to Thank you, I ran spybot again and apparently it picked it up for deletion, I didn't see the exact sequence of letters but there was another one similar to it. Any way it is now gone and hopefully that is the end of it.
