I recently created a new user account in Windows XP. When I transferred all my files, they ended up being corrupted somehow. This is true of all the files: jpg, word documents, excel documents and mp3s. What can I do???? I desperately need to access all of these files a.s.a.p. I deleted the old user account the files were contained in, but saved the files. Now I cannot even seem to find those old files :(
Thanks to anyone who can help me solve this problem. Feel free to answer directly in an email at Removed by Moderator because I have no idea how to check for responses.

    Peace,

    Ginger

SinWithGin - Welcome to the Board :)
How do you know that they are corrupted? Do you receive a message that you do not have authority to open the files - or words to that effect?

If that is the case read here .....

How to take ownership of a file or folder in Windows XP
Did you save them to another location on your hard drive in addition to copying them to the new profile?
