    Hello,

A mate of mine formated his harddisk and reinstalled WinXP. This worked perfectly fine but then he wanted to reinstall his isdn card (XP didnt detect the card). The problem is he has lost the driver CD. So he decides to download the drivers from work but he has no clue what (brand)isdn card he is using. He has no manual, no box that came with the card, no bill with the name on it. There is no name printed on the card even. So I was wondering, could there be a serial number of some kind printed on the card that could help us identify the manufactor of the card. Any other thoughts. (And I'm 100 km away so I can only help the guy by phone).

    Appreciate any help.

I'm sure that you are talking about an ethernet card. Check on the chipset for RTL8139 or something like that. May be that there are no XP drivers for his card and will have to get a new one.

Thanks for your reply but there is not network card installed on the computer, only an isdn card.
