Is your Google slow?

    I have noticed that Google is taking quite a while to load lately. I know that everyone in the world is using this search engine and would not be surprised if it is slowing down. But I would just like to reassure myself that the fault lies with Google and not my PC. Feedback, please.

    bluejay--Hate to tell you, but seems fine on my PC. Is Google the only site you are having trouble with?

    No problem here --but I just use the basic version gooogle bar
    You may have a point there more and more people are useing
    google as a home page .

    I use the advanced search. The header loads as usual and I can see the result in the information bar which tells me, e.g., that the search has turned up 1500 results in 0.6 seconds, but the reults do not appear right away. It takes another 10 or so seconds.
    Whoops! I just thought of something. I changed the number of results to load from 100 to 30 and it went MUCH faster. I guess that was the problem.
