i have a hp computer with the normal 40 gb hard drive, i have been given another 40gb hard drive, so i thought i would install this as a second hard drive and have all my music on it, The only hardware i have ever installed is a ram stick, so i am not to experencied. but doesnt look to hard.

the hard drive is a Fujitsu (I think as it has Fujitsu LTD)
    model MPD3043AT
will this be ok to install into a HP pc?

Is there anything special i need to do, I notice there is a diagram of the jumper function???

    Thanks:)

According to MPD3 AT Series Catalog it is a 4.3 GB, 5400 rpm ATA66 drive, not 40 GB. If the current (original) drive is 7200 rpm ATA100, it is possible that adding the Fujitsu will slow things down.

First, think twice about installing that drive. Next, it depends on the operating system. XP or older?
