I have a home video on DVD and would like to copy the disk. I've copied the whole folder structure to my C: drive and then burned the folders to DVD. However the 'copied' disk has a couple of anomolies. For example, the thumbnails don't work. I don't know if there are hidden files that aren't being copied.

Remember the old DOS diskcopy? Does anyone know of an equivalent in Windows 7 as I would like to try this if there is?

There is a DVD maker built in to Windows 7. To get to it click start and type dvd in the search pane, then click above on the application name.

This article will tell you how to use it.

If you have two DVD drives then this method will work for copying a disc.

Diskcopy still exists in dos, you need to click start and type cmd into the search pane, cmd will appear above, right click and select 'Run as Administrator' the command prompt will then open. Diskcopy is a recognised command but I have not been able to find the full command line required to execute the operation.

Thanks. I've also found AVS DVD copy that does the job as well.
