I think my problem w/ my defragging was that I had a trojan virus. I did the housecall free online scan and that found it. I don't remember the name, but it was like js or something.

Is there a site that might list these so I can look and see if I can recognize the name?

(I would have searched for this on the board, but I'm too lazy)

    Thanks!

jediliz: This link (http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/vinfodb.html/) will take you to the Symantec -- they make your Norton AV program -- virus encyclopedia page. If you want trojans specifically, click on the "T" in the alphabetical listing. You'll find a couple dozen trojans listed there.

You might want to bookmark their home page, too, for future reference. I use their virus hoax listing frequently.

Although the most current dat file for the most reputible virus scanners include and take care of Trojans, there are still some that are best left to a specialist in this department.

This is a link to one of the better Trojan Cleaner, oddly enough called "The Cleaner ". It is shareware time limited but worth a shot in an attempt to solve your current problem:
    http://www.moosoft.com/

You can check out the specifics by using the links in the left frame of site.

I already had The Cleaner on my computer. The evaluation period has passed. I can't use it again, because my computer remembers it or something.

Is there a similiar program that I could use?
