    Hello,

I was building a computer until i came accross with a problem.

I was setting up my motherboard in all and was connecting the wires for the HDD-LED and POWER SWITCH from the case to the motherboard. Then i was going to see if the Computer would work. Nothing opened up. There was no activity on the Motherboard. I know for a Fact that the power supply works because i tested it alot of times.

And you know when you put in your outlet into your PSU, the fan in the Psu is supposed to spin a little, right? But in this case, nothing is happening here. The CPU fan is doing nothing either.

And I know i connected the wiring correctly.

    PLease help me!

Did you install the spacers between the motherboard and case?

Are you sure that the PSU is getting power from the outlet?

Suspect you have a short if you got this far after all the other suggestions.. Modern psu will not go if a short detected. Shake open case looking for something to drop out. disconnect all drives from power and try again. (power or data could be connected reversed, esp. the floppy). If that doesn't help, remove everything from case and start over, testing at each step after mobo, video, and KB connected (just see if fans turn).

EDIT: Can test power switch by momentarily shorting the two pins on the mobo where its wires go with a small screwdriver - very carefully! Power switch is reversible because all it does is short the pins.

EDIT 2: Hope you switched on the psu on the back!
