I am using Netscape 7.1 and running Windows98 Second Edition.

Some email messages in the email 'sent' folder were accidently moved into the 'trash' and then deleted, prior to saving- eek! Is there any way at all to retrieve them?

(And I've learned a valuable lesson - never ever let a friend 'play' with your computer unless you're right there with them - sigh).

Thanks so much for any help at all, Mara

    Hi Mara,

I'm afraid your email isn't retrievable! :( Once you empty trash, then it's gone.

If you will remember to make frequent backups of your Profiles folder, then you won't have to go through this unfortunate experience again.

Create a Backup folder on your HD, and then copy the Profiles folder, then paste it into the Backup folder.

    Thank you again!

    Hi Ramona,

Thank you once again for your help!

I shall create my 'profile' and do the backups you suggested.

I truly appreciate your help and your kindness in replying to my questions.

    With kind regards, Mara
