    Hi All:

Does anyone know if it is possible to change a WMV video file to a format that can be watched on a stand-alone DVD player? I have an older friend whose son was killed in Iraq and among the personal effects he received is a DVD of his son and his comrades in a short video file, but it is in WMV format and my friend does not have a computer. I've showed him the file, and he wants it to be able to play on a stand-alone DVD player. I'd like to do it for him, but I don't know if there's a way to do it or not.

Thanks in advance for any help. (I have Ashampoo and Sonic Digital Media, but I'm not sure how to accomplish this feat.)

You could give DVD Flick http://www.dvdflick.net/ a try.
DVD Flick aims to be a simple but at the same time powerful DVD Authoring tool. It can take a number of video files stored on your computer and turn them into a DVD that will play back on your DVD player, Media Center or Home Cinema Set. You can add additional custom audio tracks, subtitles as well as a menu for easier navigation.
