Is Google > Images down?

Several times in the past few hours I've tried to access Google's Images but no images show up. I can surf the Net and can send and receive e-mails OK. Can anyone else get it to work?

I have a suspicion about Google's Image search function being down awhile. There was a news item earlier today about Google experimenting in their lab with a new image search feature I think they were calling "Swirl" or something like that. Perhaps the experiment somehow affected the regular image search service. Just a guess. I've posted a separate thread about that.

After using the Images feature for a few minutes, I see that they've changed the page layout again. They've gone back to displaying the search topic window at the bottom of the page as well as at the top. It had been missing the past few days.
