Is 7.1 doing a nasty?

Ok, I deserve it! Waited around for more experience with NS 7.1 then dove in just a day ago. Have both 7.02 and 7.1 in place using separate profiles. Using mail in 7.02, 7.1 mail not used.

Suddenly my 7.02 composer doesn't want to open a folder (to select a single file) after pressing the "attach" button. I have to move the file into the MyDocument folder in order to place a single file as an attachment. What's up with that?

Did 7.1 do a nasty here?

Yeah, I know, Ramona, et al, all, recommend sticking with Modern theme, but at least until now, my classic theme has worked just fine -- even a lil faster on loading up than "modern ". Might that, now, be a problem emanating from 7.1? MIght there be a user.js entry available tht will fix this PITA?

That's what I get for not obeying my superiors!

Using 7.02 streamline, Silly dog (classic theme); 7.1 metzger compact w/installed classic theme. Win Xp Home, 256 shared ram.

Kept playin' around. Solved it. It seems my 7.02 was suffering from M$ nuisance folder, 'My Documents" attempting to control things. Finally, stepped out of the My Doc folder into regular windows folders and all was ok.

So believe we can close this thead.

For those interested: Still have 7.1 and 7.02 up and running along side and no problems so far. Will continue playing with 7.1. If it proves better than 7.02 will move in that direction.
