IP number

    Is there a way to change my IP number using Xp?

    Certainly. Control Panel~Network Connections, right-click the connection you want to change and select properties. Then TCP/IP and properties and set it to suit yourself.

    Do be warned though that unless you pick a new address just right, you probably won't be able to use TCP/IP to connect to anything at all.

    So, unless you are sure what address, subnet mask, gateway, etc. are correct for your system, maybe post back some details of how you are set up and what exactly you want to do.
