Introduction

Hi,
A bit about myself. Okay, I'm retired and trying to get this laptop not to crash and crash and crash. Sometimes it stays upright as it were, for a couple of hours and I'll think that it's solved itself. It's thrown off the virus or whatever was ailing it, but the next day it crashes. Then behaves for a while then crashes and worst of all, it will crash while I'm just beginning something on line. As an example, while I'm typing this I'm on tenterhooks, hardly concentrating, half expecting the blue screen of death to eradicate whatever I've written.
For the moment I think I've pushed my luck far enough for one night. I'll come back tomorrow and perhaps keep this machine stable enough to ask for possible reasons for this constant crashing. Fingers crossed for now.
