I just received the security warning:

The server you are connected to is using a security certificate that cannot be verified.
The target principal name is incorrect.
Do you want to continue using the server?

The CA in question is *.mail.comcast.net .

Since my email is with comcast, I have used these servers for years. Why did I receive this all of a sudden? and is there a risk in continuing using this particular certificate?

Contact Comcast support, it is their problem.

I have deleted your DDS log, it has no relevance here.

    Arie,

When I accessed General Security for the first time, a window came up with a message from you stating that we needed to post dds.txt and Attach.txt in order to be sure we received a reply. Don't know where that came from, thought I had done that before, but I complied.

The original problem has gone away. The cause may be the spyware I am using eliminated a Comcast cookie.
