    Hi!

I'm web designer and I like edit html code in notepad for small instant changes.

Recently I was able to do it from my local disk. for example I launch html file - D:\MYFOLDER\index.html , click right mouse button and choose View as HTML in context menu. launched notepad opens this file inside so i can edit file - and when i save changes THEY BE SAVED TO SAME PLACE - D:\MYFOLDER\index.html !!!

    Very convenience!

    Now something happend :-(

When i open D:\MYFOLDER\index.html and try to edit (launching notepad from context menu as before) notepad opens html file NOT FROM D:\MYFOLDER\ BUT FROM CACHE ! (maybe) It's assumption because when I try to save this html document notepad suggests to save it as D__MYFOLDER_index[1] without extension.

    Did anybode meet such problem?

Try just opening D:\MYFOLDER\index.html in notepad directly, make changes and save. You can add notepad to your sendto folder and instead of doublicking the file do alt-f > sendto (n or t depending on Win. ver.) > n (for notepad), e.g., in XP's explorer, it's alt-f n n - very convenient!

yes now i have to do this - open file from folder, not from context menu. when it is only one file to edit - it's ok. but if i open one file and then browse via its links - more convenient to open current file for little changes from context menu and not to search it in big folder.

just amazing how this issue can happend? everything was ok and one "lucky" day everything crashed :-(

Everything crashed? Do you mean you were working with a program open and things crashed? If so , you may need to reinstall the program to get the registry entries which got damaged back.
