Hi , I'm using Windows ME with Internet Explorer 6. For some reason, I'm starting to experience timeout errors, when I'm downloading files off the internet.

I would click on the file. The dialog box would open up, asking me where I would want to save it. I select the path and directory. After hitting save, the progression guage with the icons of the "World ", "flying pieces of paper ", and "Open minilla folder" appear. Download progresses normally for a while. Then I get a error message saying that "Internet explorer has experienced a timeout error and is unable to download file so-and-so" or something to that affect.

I start the download again, and find that I have to start from scratch. I tried a few different sites, thinking that the server from the originating site might be corrupt, but I keep on getting the same problem. I occasionally still get a good download, but have had the problem three times today.

Prior to today, I've never had this problem before.
