My friend brought his Toshiba Salellite 2615DVD laptop over. I can not find out where in the registry or Win.ini or any other files that load Iexplorer.exe. If you can help or suggest a fix please do so.
There are also 2 other problems:
1, it will not shutdown or restart. It hangs on the way down. I have been to the Microsoft site and tried all of their fixes.

2, The CD/DVD player will only reconize CD's and will not play DVD's

To find where it is starting, go get HijackThis. Install, click on Config, then Misc Tools, then Generate Startup Log, it will appear in Notepad. You may be looking for something with HTM or URL in it, both of these are associated with IE.
