[Internet Explorer, Media Player, etc will not connect to the Internet]

    Even Iam facing same problem :mad:

    Hi All,Iam able to connect to Internet using Firfox and Opera browsers.But any of the windows components like Internet Explorer,Media Player,MSN Messnger etc., are not connecting to Internet.

    Not sure if any virus is affected.I have tried removing IE from my OS (XP) but no use.I have allowed it in my MacCafee firewall as well.

    Any suggestions would be of great help.

    dalavai - Welcome to the Board :)

    I have split your post to a new thread - far more likely to gain attention and less confusing than tacking it onto the end of an old thread.

    What happens when you try to connect with Internet Explorer - error messages, etc ? Details please.

    You cannot remove Internet Explorer from Windows - it is far too tightly integrated and is not designed to be removed. I hope you have not compromised the operating system in trying to do that.

    In the meantime try running IEFix
