Internet explorer is sorry but has to shut me down

Last week,I was two days trying to get my window xp up and going again.It all started after I loaded the pak 3 update.I re-installed windows,without loseing anything.I up-graded my Dell with up to date drivers.
It has been working the best it ever did,then windows is trying for new updates. After I install the window updates, I get we sorry for having to close again.So I did a restored back from 30min ago to get it to work again.Right now I am running Emsisoft anti-malware.Should A: installed IE9 or firefox.THX For Your help!

 

Not advisable to use IE 9 yet as it is still in Beta.

I am not quite clear on your problem are you saying you have cleared the error by doing the restore? Or is there still some problem.

Are you now running without SP3, this is not advisable as you may be open to security threats. If this is the case try downloading SP3 again and install it. There may have been some corruption in the download that caused the problem.
