"This page cannot be displayed" After disconnecting from the internet and decide to return I log on to my ISP with no problem, yet I cannot get their home page to display. I get the above message.

If I reboot, I have no connection problem unless I disconnect.

    Am using XP Home Edition
    512 MB Ram
    Norton AntiVirus
    Zone Alarm
    Modem connection to ISP

    Any Ideas?
    Thanks

    Hi humdoodle
    Welcome to the boards!
I'm thinking it might be your hosts file? Maybe take a read through this thread?

Hosts file was located and renamed.
This did not solve the problem.

Am now leaning toward my modem which is some off brand that came with my computer.
I have a new US Robitics 56K. Lost CD but will download drivers and try it. Will do that this weekend.

    Thanks, Humdoodle

Does disabling ZA make any difference?

Have tried disabling both ZA and antivirus.
Was very suspicious that one of them might be the problem as had other problems with ZA, one being copying CD's.

You might want to check/rename the LMHosts file as well.
