Resolved Internet Explorer Blocked

Message from one of our Thursday Forum members.
"Internet Explorer has stopped working, a problem caused a programme to stop working correctly. windows will close the programme and notify you if a solution is available." it works intermitantly.
OS Windows 7.

Which version of IE - 9 or 10 ?

First step - run IE without add-ons and see if the problem remains - if the issue is resolved the problem lies with an add-on.

Orb > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > IE No Add-ons

Hi Spanner. Adding to what Pete said, if starting IE with no add-ons does not fix the problem then try Resetting Internet Explorer and see if that solves the problem.

Also does the computer have Windows 7 Service Pack 1 installed?

Thanks for response, have contacted owner of PC (by telephone) I will show him your responses on Thursday morning, and talk him thru replies on line, I will also suggest he joins WindowsBBS.

Please mark your thread as 'Resolved'.

It is considered courteous to post a reply if you have been able to resolve your problem, or received an answer to your question. If you were given multiple suggestions/solutions, it is also helpful if you would list the solution that worked for you.

If later you find that the problem has returned, and you had previously marked your thread as solved, follow the steps above. Instead 'Mark this thread as solved' you will see that in this case Mark this thread as unsolved is listed.

Have not been able to deal with this issue due to having to go to hospital , had a stroke, will check this out SAP.
