internet explorer blank page

    when i click on the internet explorer icon it opens to a blank page, how do i get it to open showing my home page?

    Hi dmalonee40 and welcome to WindowsBBS :)

    What is shown as your homepage in Tools->Internet Options->General Tab->Homepage?

    If it's about:blank, type your preffered homepage there. If it's already set as your homepage post back and let us know.

    I have moved your thread to the Internet Explorer forum.

    You do not say if IE is working or not - opening to a blank page is one of the options.

    Assuming IE is working - which version - 7 or 8? - open your Home page by typing the URL into the Address Bar.

    Then go to Tools > Internet Options - General tab - Home Page

    The URL of your Home page should be listed - click the 'Use Current' button and exit internet options.

    Alternatively type the URL of your Home page directly into the Home page dialogue box.
