Internet Explorer Address Bar Problem

    When I type in the address bar, the keyboard strokes freeze, and I cannot type any letters. A few letters work, then after about 3 letters, I cannot type anymore. However, the keyboard letters work when I type in Wordpad or Word. Your assistance is appreciated. I am running Explorer 6.0.2900.2180. Thanks
