Internet explorer 6 in xp

When using internet explorer 6 on windows xp if i click a link that opens a new window the window opens but nothing appears.
if i click view-encoding the word NONE appears and this cannot be changed. Please help.

 

I had the similar problem when I was trying to solve my ftp downloading problem.

Although I don't know exactly how to fix yours, I fixed mine by using XP's System Restore to go back the date I knew it was loading correctly, then carefully add on/remove whatever application/programs afterwards.

Someone also suggested using Run - sfc /scannow to repair IE 6. You will need your XP CD handy when you use this command.
