internet explorer 5.50 errors

    IE will close for no apparent reason , with an error message saying it has to close now , due to an error, and wants me to let it send the error to microsoft.
    I never know when it is going to happen, but it happens a lot.
    Do I need a patch or something ? Thank's

    We're going to need the full and complete error. Click on details and tell us what it is?
    Consider disabling error reporting so that you can see what the error message is?

    IE 5.5 errors

    IE error reporting is not listed in my list of programs for add/remove. I am not sure how to edit registry. Is there another method of turning the error reporting off ? Thank's.

    AFAIK, no and you'll just have to follow the steps described in the MSKB article to which Madam Daizy linked.

    Read this before embarking on your voyage of discovery - it explains how to put things right in the event of a foul up!
