    Hi people

I have two problems whenever I go to **** sites (I admit it, I go every once in a while to soft **** sites).

    1. I get redirected to other **** sites ..
    2. My computer starts to download an "Internet Dialer" which then disconnects my connection then dials up to somewhere costing me a lot of money..

I use Adware that detects the dialer and other things but it's always after I logoff and run Adware.

I also use Spy Sweeper & Hack Tracer ...

But no matter how many times I get rid of the invading programs they come back next time I logon.

Even when I'm offline and I'm using my computer it tries to redirect me.

    Can anybody help ?

I do notv condone **** site browsing...

The anti-spyware programs remove the registry keys to the dialer but do not uninstall the dialers. You must manually uninstall the unwanted programs or locate the specific files and delete them.

I suggest doing a Google search re the name of the dialer program or the **** sites you visit.

I forgot to mention I uninstall the dialer through an option it gives you. It does uninstall ok but it comes back again when I get redirected & the program installs again.

Just add the sites that you frequent to the Restricted Sites Zone in IE Security settings:

    Tools\Internet Options\Security Tab\Double Click Restricted Sites

After adding the sites to the Restricted Zone, click the Custom Button and configure settings to disable activex controls and downloads, or better yet, start going to different **** sites, or even better yet, rent videos at the local Blockbuster, or evn better better yet, find a woman who will love you and stop looking at pron!

lex, you go where you like. I don't drink but if I did I wouldn't be very happy with my local hospital if they said "Your liver is in bad shape but we've heard you like a drink so we want you to leave the premises ".

Get yourself a copy of HijackThis do a scan and then have a startuplist created so you can check out start up apps, running processes and so on. Be very careful with the scan - treat it like a registry cleaner - check every item.

    Hello Lex,

Do NOT try to use HijackThis by yourself. To get advice about the entries, go here http://www.spywareinfo.com/yabbse/
    under "Browser Hijacking ".

Also get SpyBotS&D here http://spybot.safer-networking.de/ and after reading the help files, use the "immunize" feature, which among other things will block downloads through ActiveX, which is the way your getting the **** dialer on your system.

Your Browser secuity is too lax. If you're running IE 5.5 or later:

Go to tool bar at the top of your screen while on line and click tools, or off-line, go into the control panel > internet options. For both, then security tab > custom level.

The first category that comes up is activex controls and plug-ins and under that:

download signed activex controls tick the prompt
download unsigned activex controls tick the disable
initialyze and script activex controls not marked safe tick disable
run activex controls and plug-ins tick the prompt
script activex controls marked safe for scripting tick the prompt

This will give you the option of allowing a site to access your activex components. You will have to make the decision to allow it or not. Most sites can be denied permission because what they want to activate are usually ads and animation, both take up time and bandwith. If something doesn't work w/o activex, you always have the option to allow it.

    More settings that are critical:

Under Microsoft VM - java permissions tick High Safety
Installation of desktop items tick prompt
Toward the end, scripting of Java applets tick prompt

    Regards - Charles

Thank you Charlsvar and all of you for your input..
Even you Saint Tony T ..
I installed Zone Alarm.... It sure protects me alright, nothing works with it activated. I don't understand, you install a program with its default settings, you change nothing, and you can't logon to anything...
Is it me? It must be... But I will use your advise Charles and let you know how I go.. By the way I use IE v6..
    Thanks again all.

    Hi Lex,

"I installed Zone Alarm.... It sure protects me alright, nothing works with it activated "

Give some more details: what type of connection, what OS, if XP, is the native Firewall (ICF) running, were you running a Firewall before this, etc.

Zone Alarm has a Forum here: http://forums.zonelabs.com/zonelabs

    Regards - Charles
