OK, I've given up on trying to get XP installed on this older laptop...
I know Windows 98 does not support ICS and that Windows 98 SE does.
I also know there's something on the XP cd that lets a 98 machine connect to an XP machine (Remote Desktop)
BUT, can a WIN98SE machine share internet connections from a XP machine?

Second, my old configuration was 3 computers on a hub (NOT router) each with a network card. One computer had 2 network cards, one being for the cable modem and I used software to share the connection.
With Windows ICS, can I keep the same configuration and dump the software share and use WINDOWS ICS to share the internet?

Holy Cow Joe Locke, we really messed up by letting your post slip by.
So sorry about that. Have you made any progress?

    1-
    XP ICS Setup

2- You shouldn't have a problem after reading through the setup above.

Post back if it's what you needed or you need any more info.
