I have the CPP DVD install of Vista build 5384 installed; IE7 up and running; but there is no DUN icon on the taskbar. In other versions of Windows, there is a checkbox within DUN for showing an icon on the taskbar after connecting (and it disappears when the connection is dropped). Vista/IE7 does not seem to have this option; at least, I can't find it.

Has anyone else noticed this??? Has anyone else found the checkbox option???

I'm on a dial-up and can't tell if I'm connected or not...even manually unplugging the modem does not elicit a response...

    Thank You!

I finally found the Vista equivalent of the DUN Connection icon.

In Vista, the Connection Notification icon has been moved from DUN Properties to the Start menu.

    Right-Click Start
    - Properties
    - Notification Area
    - System icons
    - Check the "Network" box

You can now Connect or Disconnect from this icon.
