Is there hardware/software out there to hook up a internal IDE hard drive as an external slave drive attached to a laptop?

I have an internal WD 40 gb IDE drive that I want to be able to access info on it on my Thinkpad T22. I would like some kinda hardware that allows me to attach and power the drive as an external slave or 2nd hard drive on the laptop through either the USB or parralell port.

    Any ideas?

    THANKS!
    John

What you are looking for is an external drive case. They make them to use with IDE drives. They can have USB or firewire and some have both. To see what I am talking about if you go to http://www.dealsonic.com/dealsonic/exen.html you will see some.
