    Hi,

I had a lightling strike which trashed my modem/router and killed my PCI bus and blocked access to the computer however by re-installing Win XP SP 2 I have managed to get it limping along until my replacement mobo arrives. I can access most of my programs but I am locked out from MS office 2003. I followed MS instructions for un-installing but am unable to re-install as I get the message "internal error 2349 ". Is there a way that I can circumvent this problem please.

I am having the same problem re-installing Office 2003 to my Windows Vista machine. Did you ever get this resolved?

    Thanks.

Hi bg9208, Have you made the decision to go to SP3?
You might have to visit MS Update and look for MS Office 2003 patches, Download and install and see if that helps. It may be necessary to uninstall MS Office first - then try re-install after you have the Patches installed. Neil.

    Hi,
First see if you can find something useful in what google hits have to say about this issue:
    http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&q="internal+error+2349"

If you do find your fix, please be kind and remember to share it with a posted update. If you are unable to find the root cause or fix and need further help please update post with what you have tried already and further assistance will be offered.

Hope this helps and my fingers are crossed for you. :)
