    Here's another idea for a survey.
    How old is the primary computer that you are using ?
    My Dell running Windows XP has been in use for six and a half years - still going !

    I built this desktop PC in August of 2003. Both of my T-42 Thinkpads were manufactured in 2005. All three run XP.

    My laptop (which is my primary comp) is 3.5 yrs ol, desktop comp is 5 yrs old. A couple of servers too, oldest is a 1998 celeron that's been running Debian Woody since 2001. I've not rebooted that celecon in 6 years and it's still doing what it's supposed to do (local www server & sql database).

    I have 2 desktop computers. The first one is 7 years old (I got it in 2004) and running Windows XP SP3. My second computer is 4 years old (I got that one only 8 months ago from a neighbor of mine) also running Windows XP SP3.

    I use my second PC for gaming since it has much better hardware specifications.

    When I am not gaming I am using my first PC as a backup machine and for general Internet browsing.

    My desktop is from 2001 running Windows 7 Ultimate and runs great.
