Installing XP Pro - XP home already installed

    I want to install XP Pro on a PC. (It already has Home version) Can I erase all data from the hard drive before doing so, & will the cd install without me having to do anything? Or if I were to replace it with a brand-new hard drive will the cd still install? :confused:
    Apologies to those knowledgeble folks. I'm a novice with these things!

    As long as you have your Emails MyDocuments Addressbooks favorites backed up "YES "!

    Actually the prefered way.

    When you boot from the Windows CD chose to formamt and install new.
