installing XP, missing code?

hi all

HELP! I bought the XP upgrade software several months ago and put it on my laptop when my desktop was not working properly. I now am trying to do the upgrade on my desktop but I am missing the code I need to proceed. I do not know where the packaging is or if it was thrown away, but the program says it would be on the jacket the CD is on.... it is not. it is just plain white. Can anyone tell me how I can install? Is there anyway to get the code from my laptop that it is already installed in? I can't afford to buy it again.

You can only install XP using the same key on one machine. You will need to purchase another copy or key.
