Resolved installing winxp inside win7

    want to ask what is the first step in installing windows xp into the microsoft virtual pc inside win7?

    Windows XP mode is only available in 7 Pro and above (screenshot from the URL Arie posted) and includes a free download of XP Pro.

    If you are running a version of 7 below Pro you can still install Virtual PC 2007, but you will need a retail, unused copy of XP to install on it.
