installing Windows 200 on a Sony Vaio PCG-Z505SX

    I am trying to install Windows 2000 on a Sony Vaio PCG-Z505SX with a new Hard Disk,I get only the message "Operating System not found ",How I proceed?

    ROBERTO - Welcome to the Board :)

    How are you trying to install W2k? As the hard drive is new there is no Operating System installed - hence the message you are seeing.

    Check in the BIOS (Setup) that the first boot device is the CD-Rom drive - there may be another key to alter the boot order on the splash screen - look out for it.

    Place the W2k CD into the CD-Rom drive and boot the computer. The installation process should then start.
