Installing Win XP SP2

    Hi,

    Is it necessary to disable Norton Anti-Virus and Zone Alarm Firewall before installing SP2 on a Windows XP Home Edition computer? We didn't see this in Microsoft's instructions so we thought we would ask.

    No, but disabling NAV's "auto protect" (checking HD reads/writes/opens) would make the install go faster - could make a difference in an older system.
