Resolved Installing Updates Freezes?

    I was installing updates on my laptop, and it is currently sitting on update 1 of 4, it has been sitting like this since last night around 6:00 pm and has not moved on. The messages states to not turn off your computer or unplug it, and I have always been told not to turn off your computer when it is stalling updates. Any suggestions on how I can fix this or get it to do something without loosing all of my data on that computer?

    Well, noting you can do that to force a reboot. I've done it, but then again, I have a current backup of my data. I hope you have too.
