    Hi,
I'm using a computer running Windows XP Home Edition. My hard drive is huge, 114 GB of space. There is only a C: drive. It is not partitioned and I wouldn't know how to do this anyway.

I teach the senior citizens here the many different software programs so it is necessary for me to familiarize myself with all the different instructions.

I'm just wondering if I will run into any conflicts if I keep adding all these programs. On my computer right now, I have Word Perfect, Microsoft Office, and want to add Microsoft Works. I also have Adobe Photoshop 5.0 and I was given a Christmas gift from my daughter, Adobe Photoshop Elements 2.0 plus Photoshop Album 2.0 that I want to install.

I'm wondering if I will have any conflicts putting these programs on the same hard drive.

Thank you for any help you can give me.

    Jean

I run the same way - one larger C: partition (but not as large as yours - wish it were) and a large collection of software installed.

No problems here and I wouldn't expect any on yours as long as you clean things up regularly. Once a month or similar should do it.
    - run disk cleanup (from My Computer, right click the drive and there is a button for it)
    - update and run ad-aware or spybot or both
    - dump temporary internet files
    - defrag the drive

    Thanks Newt,

I'll take your advice and load the programs slowly, one at a time to make sure all is working OK.

I always run Ad-Aware and scan disk so I will continue to keep up this habit.

    Thanks for your help.
