Installing DirectX 9

Hey guys i have windows xp pro and every time when i try to install directX 9 i get a message sayin something about a logo test not compatible or something (sorry its dutch so hard for em to translate) i hope u guys know what i mean and what solution there is Thanks .

Are you using a Dutch version of XP?

From where are you downloading the DirectX?

I would recommend you download it from the Windows Update via the link in 'All Programs'.

Ok 1st of all i downloaded direct x already and i wanna install it now
Second: yes i am usin a dutch windows xp pro.
3rd: I tryed the windows update site and browse kept sayin update now click, update now :if i click on that button it comes again. i solved the solution a bit myself at site they said about deleting IUCTL.dll and another. also starts with IU and at register deletin something did that all and cleaned my history and cookies rebooted pc came back to site but now he goes 1 step further BUT he says i need to be admin or something to use windows update (i am only user no other accounts automatic logons when i start windows and i am not admin then?) i had my automatic updates off at services.msc but i turned that on again but still the same some1 please help i dont know it anymore.

De 'automatische updates' zullen geen invloed hebben op wat u in dit geval doet.

U het geprobeerde heeft downloaden Nederlandse Versie?

 

I downloaded the 34.4 MB directX9 so i can install it from my disk.
But i'll give it a go when im home again (@work now) PS Bruce u been usin a translator or something to write dutch to me because it looks like it (geintje hoor)
