    I NEED HELP!
I have the Xp version but it looks like I can't run any C compilers since there is no MS_DOS! Does anybody know if I can keep the XP and also install 98 now? I have tried but I get weird messages coming up....that I need to be at the ms-dos prompt!LOL.
    TKX !

I think before I stuffed 98 on the machine, I'd see if the compiler was willing to run inside a VDM. XP will allow setup of VDMs just like NT/2K do.

According to Microsoft, it is not possible to install Win 98 after installing Windows XP (or Win 2000).

W98 has to be on the boot partition.

    Ohhh??? That's new to me....

I agree, if you have 1 (hard disk) and 1 partition, it won't work, but if you have multiple partitions, it works like a charm....

Just install W98 to another partition.....

XP will add 98 to it's menu once it's aware of the new install.... I've done it myself....
