Before I take the plunge to install this newest version...do you recommend that I uninstall my current Netscape (7.02). Is it better to start from scratch with this or is it okay to just overwrite and let it install over my current version? Thanks for your help. :D

Others may tell you differently but, from what I've read, it's better to UNINSTALL Netscape 7.02, then remove the Program Files\Netscape\Netscape folder (back up your Plugins folder first!) before installing 7.1, just to make sure that nothing is left behind to cause problems.

Your profile should be OK (it's in the Windows folder) so uninstalling and removing the Netscape program files should not affect your bookmarks, mail and newsgroup contents, preferences, address book, etc.

Absolutely !! Use Add/Remove in control-panel as this will leave your profile intact and only delete the "program" files.

Absolutely NOT. Do NOT use any program files from previous versions.
Your prefs and such are located in your profile directory and will carry over to the new install.

Yes, do a complete investigation of ALL the preferences, features, etc. before posting that you can't find this and that. ;-)

See these threads for more information (Mozilla 1.4, which is basically Netscape 7.1 without the Netscape AOL stuff)
