    Just bought an HP6130f

    Vista 64b

installed sp2. after reboot display has shifted left. 1 inch black strip down right side of display. have tried nvidia settings in control panel, but moving the screen to the right actually moves it 'under' the black strip. cannot see start button or anything on far left side of desktop. help please.

    thanks,

Try booting into Safe Mode. Tap the F8 key rapidly before the HP screen at startup changes to the Vista loading screen. Let us know if it is normal there.

What's the make and model of your monitor? Does it have an "Auto" button on it?

Have you tried uninstalling the nVidia video drivers, then downloading a fresh copy from the nVidia site and installing that?
