installation problem

I have been trying to install the downloads for the sasser worm. I get a message saying the setup could not verify the integrity of the file update.inf. Make sure the cryptographic service is running on this computer. What can I do to complete the installation?

http://www.updatexp.com/cryptographic-service.html is a pretty complete "what is wrong and how to fix it" although the author uses too many fancy font tingys for my taste.

http://www.dougknox.com/xp/scripts_desc/xp_cryptofix.htm has a downloadable 'fixit' file and Doug Knox is reliable so I'd tend to trust it.
