I have noticed quite a few referances to "uncheck" install on demand in IE. I have unchecked it through tools-options-advanced. Would someone take the time to tell what this feature does and what will I lose by unchecking it? FYI for some reason I could not un-install AdWare ver. 5.71 so I just installed 5.8 over it and all seems well. Thank you very much for all the help in the past. This is just a GREAT site.

    Hi 4harpers,
Unchecking install on demand is just a security precaution. Often times email and web sites will attempt to install their junk and virii on your system without your permission. Taking the check mark out will simply give you the prompt that asks if you want to save the download to your hard drive. That's all.
