[Install IDE (PATA) drive on SATA motherboard]

    ive got an ide harddrive can i put it onto an sata motherborad to stor on if so how do i go about it?

    You might maybe be able to find a PCI card to use...It'd be easier and about the same $$ to just get another SATA drive.

    Another option is to buy an external case and hook up using USB. Like Steve said though is it cost effective? At least you'd have a removable drive though.
