I am trying to install a mercury USB 2.0 controller card on to my K7S5A motherboard but having problems. If I try to instal through Found New Hardware XP begins copying files from the instal disk but before it finishes the following message appears:

Please insert CD labeled Windows 9x USB 2.0 (EHCI) driver disk for VIA

If I explore USB software and instal USB 2.0 driver manually the following message appears:

please update your system to windows service pack 1 and run this setup again

    help ???????????????????????

If you're usinf Win XP, it needs to have SP1 or SP2 installed.

In addition to what Steve posted not too sure why it's asking for a VIA driver as your board appears to have an SIS chipset.

If on the other hand your board has a VIA chipset you may need to update the VIA drivers.
